The Computer Engineering and Informatics department at Middlesex University Dubai organised an event on 21st June to mark the launch of our brand new BSc Cyber Security and Digital Forensics programme.
This new undergraduate programme offers twelve modules that are carefully designed to meet the cyber security industry’s requirements and address the skills gap in the fast-growing sector.
The programme is supported by the new MDX CERT (Cyber Environments Research and Testing) lab, which has been built and equipped to facilitate the teaching of the BSc Cyber Security and Digital Forensics.
The launch event included two talks delivered by guest speakers Mr. Ankit Satsangi, Co-Founder and CTO at AHAD Security Transform, and Mr. Talha Jawad, Manager Academia at EC-Council.
Mr. Satsangi discussed the importance of cybersecurity and its different impacts, while Mr. Jawad discussed the different career pathways and job opportunities in cybersecurity.
The event also included an interesting security coding challenge where various school students participated and won some interesting prizes. The event was hosted by Dr. Maha Saadeh and Dr. Fehmida Hussain from our CEI department.
