The importance of narrative building and how to position yourself in any industry

On 3rd February 2021, Wasim Benkhadra from Standard Chartered Bank spoke to our MA International Business and PG Marketing students about Strategic and Marketing Communications based on his many years of experience in this field. Wasim is an award-winning, passionate and creative communications professional, with over 15 years of experience in Corporate Affairs and Marketing Communications in Conventional and Islamic banking. Wasim prides himself for being one of the few people in the Middle East who are able to think, strategise and communicate in both Arabic and English.
Through this informative and interactive session, our students learned about real life current examples, illustrating the importance of managing an effective narrative to position your organisation – and yourself. Faculty, including Rory McConnon, Vijay Pujari, and Matthew Brown, noted the value of the presentation, and students expressed their gratitude for the insights provided.
