Virtual Student Research Event
- Monday, 15 February 2021
The Psychology Department conducted a virtual Student Research Event on 11th February 2021. The event was organized by Dr Nishtha Lamba and members of Social Psychology Research Lab (SPRL). This year students showcased excellent impact-based research projects! The Lab’s international academic collaborations inspired some of the research ideas. The event was attended by more than 200 people, included six parallel sessions, where 158 second- and third-year Psychology students presented 27 research projects in the form of an academic poster. The University values student research engagement and in order to encourage research culture, the Director, Dr. Cedwyn Fernandes, Deputy Directors, Dr Cody Paris and Dr Tenia Kyriazi, and Head of Psychology, Dr Anita Kashi, welcomed our students. At this ‘mock conference’ students showcased their works on varied topics such as mental health and misinformation during COVID-19, moral dumbfounding, implicit biases, and peer support!
