Technology in a non-Technology Environment

On Thursday, 26th November 2020, Middlesex University Dubai hosted a guest lecture by Asfar Khan, Director, IT for South Asia and the AMEA at Kellogg’s.  Asfar has a very rich global experience with huge multinational corporations such as WalMart, Coca Cola, and currently works for Kelloggs. The event was organised by Ms. Neelofer Mashood on behalf of our MA International Business Management students along with some of our UG Engineering students.  Asfar Khan shared the current challenges and lessons learnt by organisations during the Covid-19 crises. He spoke about current trends in the IT industry, and shared his personal and educational experience as a global manager. Our MA International Business Management students, who are aiming to be global managers, appreciated the very relevant insights.

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
