Social Enterprise Showcase

A social enterprise showcase was organized for MDX students in the Human Resource Management (HRM) Programme on 2nd April 2019. The event showcased the top five group presentations from Middlesex University Dubai HRM students, addressing a range of social issues, with the winning team being selected by a panel of esteemed judges including Dr Cody Paris (Deputy Director, Middlesex University Dubai), Sabeena Ahmed (Founder, The Little Fair Trade Shop in Dubai) and Rachel Griner (Innovator and Entrepreneur, Dubai). Isatou Ceesay, the Project Director, Women's Intiative Gambia, was also invited to speak to the students. She shared her personal story of five women in Gambia who creatively dealt with their village’s plastic trash problem. The students found the event intellectually stimulating as it widened their horizon about several social issues.

LangChain Certification Programme Showcases Cutting-Edge AI Trends
The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
The month of February kicked off with an immersive field trip to enrich the student experience at the AI Film Festival at Expo City Dubai
In March, both the third-year January cohort and first-year September cohort students embarked on a field trip to explore the UAE Innovates Exhibition and the DHL Innovation Hub
