Middlesex University Dubai hosted the 6th Annual Marketing Poster Competition on 20 February 2018 at the campus. There were 80 teams comprising of over 300 first year students from the ‘Marketing Theory and Practice’ module who showcased their innovative concepts and products by creating informative posters which presented the 4 P’s of marketing (product, price, place and promotion). The top three winning posters were:
1) ‘Phonetic’ – headphones without a band, magnetic, stylist and comfort all in one. This poster was created by Justin Anthony Olney, Husain Kapadia, Myron Fernandes and Cameron Burnell.
2) ‘The Secret’ – a lipstick with four shades in one made of the best possible ingredients. This was put together by Charu Chanchlani, Elveen Khurrana, Nancy Pothula.
3) ‘Borsetta’ – a special handbag with print recognition and Bluetooth connected LED light to notify the wearer when their phone is ringing. This was created by Andrea Mendes, Anam Ali, Ariana Aaron and Abdullah Bashrahil.
A special prize was also awarded to ‘Canfetti – Cake In A Tin’ for most original and creative concept.
The top 10 teams were all awarded with prizes by Dr Cody Paris, Deputy Director of Middlesex University Dubai.
The event was organised by Marketing Faculty Nathalie Van Zanten, along with staff and faculty from a wide variety of programmes who assisted in judging.
