Congratulations to our Staff Innovation Award winners

The winner of Staff Innovation Award for Administration/Support service was awarded to the Library team for their successful development and launch of their Online Information Literacy course. This course was designed and implemented in order to provide a more systematic and accessible information literacy programme, rather than the more ad-hoc sessions that took place within some modules.  The use of moodle and providing several intakes throughout the year has allowed for a large number of our foundation, UG, and PG students to complete the course in their own time, and there is no doubt that this has contributed to their overall performance.   A bit thank you, as a lecturer, to the Library team for this programme!

The winner of the Staff Innovation Award for Teaching and Learning was awarded to the Student Research Subcommittee  for their extensive support and overall strategy in supporting student research and development at MDX Dubai.  This strategy includes a variety of programmes/policies that have been developed recently including the Student Research Assistant Programme, the faculty/student publication policy, and of course the hallmark event, the Student Research Symposium.  Additionally, the Student Research Subcommittee working with faculty and CPCs has supported and mentored an increasing number of students participating in research competitions.  The holistic, systematic, and strategic approach to supporting and developing student research greatly contributes to student learning, development of key graduate skills, and provides support for students seeking future PG study.
