MDX Media students attend EDELMAN DABO MERGER event


Middlesex Media students, Khlood Osman (first year) and George Anastasiades (third year) were privileged enough to attend a major PR event. The evening was organized to recognize the merging of two major PR companies, Edelman and DABO. Global CEO, Richard Edelman opened the ceremony with a speech that addressed the future of communications and marketing along with the growing strategies of Edelman. According to Khlood and George, the advice that followed from the discussion panel was one of the most valuable parts of the event. Corporate communications leaders of Marriot, Facebook, Dubai Tourism and Edelman discussed the ever-growing and changing communications industry and gave insight into the unique ethics and visions of their own companies. After the speeches, the two students were given the opportunity of  networking with professionals from various companies. They were able to meet the vice chairman of Edelman, Corp. Comms director of PWC, Account Manager of DABO and many others.

Edelman DABO was recently formed following the acquisition of leading Dubai-based independent agency DABO & CO, by Edelman, one of the world’s leading global communications marketing firms. The new co-branded entity has a roster of more than 50 clients in the Middle East, and combines award-winning consumer public relations and digital capabilities from both DABO and Edelman.

Edelman DABO Experiential is the newly launched brand dedicated to creating brand engagement from what was DABO & CO’s existing event management division.
