The Research Committee is organizing the Summer 2017 Research Boot Camp ahead of planning the next Emerging Research Paradigms in Business and Social Sciences (ERPBSS) conference series. For those who have joined Middlesex University Dubai since our 3rd ERPBSS conference in 2015, further information on this series is available at https://goo.gl/2Dmtzc. The 4th ERPBSS will take place in January 2018 (more details on this will follow in the coming weeks)

This session will involve discussions on different types of research, including qualitative and quantitative studies. It will benefit those who have a project in mind and who would like to get further support in choosing the most appropriate analysis.

This first half of this session will focus on the procedure of working with students on their dissertations/ projects, ethical issues, and authorship guidelines. The second part of the session will be one-on-one, and will involve discussions about specific projects.

This is what we all need, an opportunity to focus on our writing. Whether this is the first paragraph of your paper, or putting the final touches to a completed manuscript, this session aims to give you the time, space, and support to work on this.

Research Coaching

This new initiative by the Research Committee aims to pair those who would like to avail of research support with other faculty members. You can request a one-to-one session geared towards supporting you on research-related topics. This might be anything from discussing ideas and appropriate methods, to developing student work, reviewing a draft, identifying a journal, etc…
