Track 6: Management and Marketing

Track Coordinator: Dr. Alun Epps (Alun@mdx.ac) –For any additional information or questions regarding submissions to this track, please contact the track coordinator directly.

The track focuses on emerging issues in the areas of management and marketing. The recent financial crisis and its subsequent “recovery” has forced firms to revisit accepted models as well as practices and has created an explosion of new research areas within and across disciplines. At the interface of practice and academia, the management and marketing track seeks to investigate how organisations and governments manage their resources post-crisis. Leaders have had to challenge conventional ways of operating and looking for new opportunities and this in turn has led to new avenues for research in the management of human resources, projects, logistics, operations, quality and marketing.

In this track we are inviting papers that focus on but are not restricted to management and marketing issues in the following areas:

  • Business excellence
  • Consumer behaviour
  • Cross cultural management
  • Leadership
  • Marketing communications
  • Marketing management
  • Marketing research
  • Marketing strategy
  • Operations management
  • Organisational excellence
  • Project management
  • Quality management
  • Strategic management
  • Supply chain and logistics
