EU and UAE Conference: Rule of Law and Arbitration

We are delighted to be hosting a one day law forum dedicated to issues of common interest relevant to the United Arab Emirates and the European Union. This event is supported by the Jean Monnet Programme of the European Union via the Jean Monnet Chair awarded to Prof Laurent Pech (Head of Department, Law and Politics Middlesex University London).  The UAE and EU Law Forum will offer a unique opportunity to hear leading legal voices, on two panels, namely, one on the rule of law and the other on arbitration.

The panelists are leading academics from Europe and distinguished legal practitioners with extensive experience in arbitration in the UAE and the wider region.

Our target audience will comprise of business leaders, professionals from the legal sector and legal academics. Middlesex University law students will also get a chance to attend the event.The event is accredited by the Legal Affairs Department of the Government of Dubai for the purpose of continuing Legal Professional Development (CLPD).

  • Participants attending one of the two panels - Fee: 500 AED
  • Participants attending the full conference - Fee: 750 AED
Legal professionals attending the conference are eligible for CLPD points, i.e. 2 for attendance of one of the panels only (at 500AED), or 4 for attendance of the full conference (at 750AED)

**Students are allowed free entry in to the event based on the availability of seats.
