The School of Law presents a lecture by Zainab Ali Khan, Gender Specialist. 

Gender Equity Programme

Zainab Ali Khan is an expert on the largest gender equity initiative in Pakistan that is being supported by USAID. Zainab will discuss the various interventions and achievements of the program and share her experiences in the context of working for the development sector in Pakistan.


                          

Zainab Ali Khan is a Gender Specialist with over five years of work experience in the Development sector in Pakistan. Her educational background includes a Bachelors degree in English Literature with a minor in Women’s Studies from the University of Maine and a Masters degree in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Toronto. Zainab currently works for a USAID supported Gender Equity Program that is being implemented by Aurat Foundation, a leading Pakistani non-government organization for women’s rights. She has authored a number of reports, case studies and success stories and is also a member of the Everywoman, Everywhere Coalition, an initiative of Harvard University’s Carr Center for which she conducts research on violence against women. In her free time, Zainab loves to read, travel and try new cuisines.
