CEI students visit Gitex 2017

  • Wednesday, 1 November 2017

The 37th GITEX Technology Week allowed the students of CEI department to step into the future towards "Re-imagining Realities".  Accompanied by Mr. Santosh Menon and Ms.Arundhati Basu, students witnessed the region's long standing commitment towards innovation and digital transformation.

While some of the world's foremost leaders in technology exhibited their latest technologies in Healthcare, Education and Construction; the Government of Dubai set new standards with their smart city initiatives. Smart services included the integration of networks, smart meters, AI, robots, the Internet of Things, IOT, big data and cloud computing.

This year also brought together some of the region's most innovative, exciting and ambitious tech startups and provided great exposure to our students. The event also saw visionaries and tech pioneers delivering free lectures as part of The Learning Fringe.

The students attending the field trip were able to take inspiration and network with the R&D department representatives from Oracle, Cisco, EMC, SAP, Etisalat and many more companies that are evolving the city with their human and service centered technology.
