MDX Dubai organises the first ever ‘Train Your Brain Week!’

  • Sunday, 28 May 2017

The Academic Enrichment Programme, in collaboration with several other departments in the University, organised the first ever ‘Train Your Brain Week’ to help students prepare for the upcoming (often stressful) period of final assessments and exams. Approximately, 20 different sessions were organised between the 2nd -13th of April, and were divided into three categories: Skills Smart, Body Smart and Future Smart. More than 200 students participated in the various events.

The Skills Smart activities included workshops, for post-graduate and under-graduate students, on building academic skills such as planning for exams, revision strategies and effective exam techniques. Focused Drop-in sessions were also organised to offer students the opportunity to seek individual help regarding any aspect of their studies. The Body Smart activities were designed to, not only help students manage stress levels during exam time, but also to provide opportunities to release their pent up energy! Students took part in yoga and light body movement sessions, combat and judo sessions and thoroughly enjoyed the board games and adult colouring activities that were arranged for them. The Future Smart aspect of the event included a ‘From Campus to Corporate’ talk as well as an inspirational Vision Boarding Workshop.
