  • Sunday, 18 March 2018

Middlesex University Dubai’s Accounting & Finance Department recently hosted a very successful finale of ‘Best Cash Flow Analyst’: A Case Study Analysis, which saw 2nd year Accounting & Finance students showcasing their analysis skills to a judging panel of Middlesex University Dubai’s very own Dr Krishnadas Nanath, Dr Vijaya Kumar and Ms Mariam Aslam.

The students were given the task of analysing financial and non-financial factors of listed companies in the region and presenting their investment decision. The top 4 teams competed fiercely and won cash prizes for their efforts.

The winning team were ‘Team Dana Gas’ – Shreyas Beedu, Samina Burhani, Surbhi Mathur & Reem Mushtaq.

The runners up were ‘Team Emaar’ – Mariyam Yogimadathil, Ansley Anil Gonsalves, Farnaaz Khan & Aathira Varma.

The teams this year were mentored by third year students Mehek, Sarah, Mahesh & Edwin.

The judges were extremely impressed by the work presented by our students and complimented the teams on their knowledge and hard work.

Congratulations to our students and to Ms Rashita Puthiya for not only mentoring 100 students, but also conceptualising, planning, organising and hosting a very successful competition.

Thank you to Morison Menon Chartered Accountants who sponsored and provided the cash prizes for our students.
