Politics students attend UN Global Compact Business for Peace event

Students of BA International Politics and MA Global Governance and Sustainable Development from Middlesex University Dubai attended the Making Global Goals event - Business for Peace (B4P) hosted by the UN Global Compact at Mina A'Salam, Dubai on 26 October.

'The event was informative and it raised awareness on how business can promote peace and sustainable development' shared Fatima Hassani, a third year student of BA International Politics. The Business for Peace Chapter is a platform for collaboration between the UN, Companies, academia, NGOs and students to reach a peaceful interconnected world.

H.E. Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE addressed the participants and emphasized the role of private sector in conflict resolution and sustainable development. Middlesex University Dubai Senior Lecturer in International Relations Dr Belisa Marochi also attended the event.
