Students participate in the UNGC Youth Engagement Program Training


Eighteen students from the BA (Hons) International Politics and MA International Relations programmes at Middlesex University Dubai completed their training in the Youth Engagement Program, an initiative launched by the UN Global Compact Network UAE . The training equipped participants with the tools to assist businesses on reporting sustainable development actions.

‘I have gained a deeper insight into the sustainable development goals and the international and local organizations that cooperate collaboratively and strategically in the UAE.’ shared Devashree Kisnadwala, a first year student of International Politics.

Alyazia Sabra, CSR Executive at Chalhoub Group along with senior adviser Ayla Bajwa and Hidaya Mansoor Alfalasi from Dubai Land Department contributed to this event. Middlesex University lecturers Dr. Belisa Marochi, Mahine Rizvi Ahmad and Mohammad Meraj attended the event along with HR Manager, Claudia Maher, and Career Service Executive, Alpa Katkoria.

Middlesex University Dubai looks forward to supporting and collaborating with the UN Global Compact Network UAE to promote the global sustainable development agenda.  Additionally, this fall, Middlesex University Dubai is launching the MA in Global Governance and Sustainable Development (MAGGSD) programme. This programme with fulfill the pressing need for individuals with the analytical skills and specialized knowledge to lead local and national level solutions to global issues such as climate change and poverty.
