On the 17th of April 2016, the MBA students of Middlesex University who study International Marketing Communications presented in front of a professional panel their research findings. The event has been initiated and organised by Dr Evangelos Moustakas, Associate Professor in Electronic Marketing and supported by Dr. Cedwyn Fernandes, Director of Middlesex University in Dubai.
More specifically, at the beginning of the term students were asked to work in groups and develop an International Marketing Communications Strategy for FlyNAS aviation and Fitness Time gym. At the end of the semester students presented their findings in front of a panel of professionals.
The panel consisted of Abdulelah Suliman Aleadi (Country Director UAE, FlyNas), Graham Brookes (Country Manager UAE, Fitness Time Gym), Eleni Kitra (Facebook Global Sales, Middle East-Africa-Pakistan) and Udo Braendle (Associate Professor, American University in Dubai).
This was a unique learning experience for MDX MBA students. Engaging with the industry is the best way to develop an understanding of the successes and pitfalls that organisations encounter in the marketplace. All students worked hard to complete the project and the results were impressive.
