Professional Development Opportunities for Accounting & Finance Students : Emma Lomas Deloitte Dubai

Emma Lomas Audit Manager at Deloitte’s Dubai office gave a talk to Middlesex University’s Accounting & Finance students as to the professional dvelopment opportunities that await them once they graduate.  Ms. Lomas in her talk  “BA Accounting & Finance – What Next?”  gave the students an overview of the options open to them in the accountancy and finance industry once they graduate.

Ms. Lomas highlighted the aspects of the Deloitte Professional Development Program  which is a program for  fresh graduates . The PDP program helps graduates to acquire a professional qualifications and develop their skills and provides  extensive work experience in  audit, finance and management fields.

Middlesex University Dubai in the Finance and Accounting disciplines offers  three year Honours  Bachelor Degree in Accounting & Finance and a three year Honours  Bachelor Degree in Accounting. The talk was organized by Dr.Vijaya Kumar Senior Lecturer in Accounting & Finance .

The students of the Accounting and Finance Department celebrated the success of the second edition of the Financial Modeling Club (FMC2.0) on 6 March 2024. Led by students, this year’s FMC 2.0 featured four upskilling workshops and two competitions. A total of fifty-five students secured the Foundations Certificate in Financial Modeling, offered by our academic partner, FMI. Special congratulations to Chirag Kherajani for earning the Financial Modeling Institute scholarship for Advanced Financial Modeling certification.
