Panel of MARCOMS experts wow students at Middlesex University Dubai!


Students and staff at Middlesex University Dubai were in for a treat when not less than three leading marketing communications experts from Percept Gulf weaved their magic recently to a packed house in the Middlesex Oasis Theatre at our Knowledge Village Campus.


The title of the panel discussion was  “Communication has evolved, have we?” and the event touched upon the evolution of communication in three distinct aspects – Advertising, Public Relations and Creativity.


Three speakers from Percept Gulf led the session. Priya Hartnell, Client Services Director at Percept Gulf opened the batting when she gave the audience an enthralling insight into the word of advertising past, present and future, with the reality of the “always on” generation being very close to home for all present.  Jinith Joy (JJ), the Percept Gulf’s Public Relations expert told us about the evolution of PR right from its earliest origins right up to the present day (and beyond). Finally Prashant Sankhe, Executive Creative Director at Percept Gulf took us through five very emotive and pertinent creative campaigns encompassing the worlds of charity, politics, motorsport, beauty and logistics.


MBA Dubai Campus Centre Coordinator Dr. Alun Epps who hosted the event with the help of Alveena Javed and Alpa Katkoria from the Middlesex University Careers and Employability Service stated that “an essential part of any U/G or P/G programme is direct input from industry. An event like today is a real gift as we had not one but three brilliant practioners sharing many decades of talent with the University.”
